Trinst Jasmbeurd

Yeah, you read that right, trinst jasmbeurd.  On another note, turns out, my crappy hardware store manager didn’t’ have any problems with me working only six hour shifts.  He was happy I didn’t quit.  It seems the only reason the hr scheduling lady didn’t work with me was because she was lazy.  Weird, seems to me it would have been easier to just work with my schedule in the first place instead of making a bunch of people in my department mad.

I have to give the world this:  Having been in a retail setting for six months now, I understand why employees in retail environments that have to rely on a job to pay a mortgage are so unhappy.  There are a lot of frustrations with corporations, not the least of which is the lack of caring about employee issues by management.  If they can’t work with a law student’s scheduling issues without having a giant problem, how can I possibly think that people with everyday lives would have it easier than me when they walk through the doors with a real life emergency life a family sickness or something else?

If nothing else, working this position during law school has given me three things:  a constant realistic  tether to the average low paying person’s world; a weekly reminder why I have to graduate law school; and third, money.
